More than 200 exhibits, one million gallons of water, and the largest bull sharks in captivity—this is the Oklahoma Aquarium. The original 72,600-sq.-ft. facility houses a walk-through shark tank, the focal point of the attraction and the construction project. The acrylic tank is the first installation of its kind to provide unobstructed viewing of a school of bull sharks.
The 66-acre construction project kicked off the development of the Tulsa Riverwalk Crossing entertainment district. The Oklahoma Aquarium earned the Governor’s RedBud Award for Outstanding Attraction in 2008.
