About the Project
Ross Group completed the renovation of a two-story, 44,930 sq. ft. structure originally constructed in the 1920s. The original structure consisted of four separate buildings that were built next to each other and shared walls. The renovation combined all four buildings into one facility. Spaces include open office areas, conference rooms, a break room with a catering kitchen, restrooms, a lobby, mechanical spaces, and a fitness area with locker rooms and showers.
Since the floor elevations were uneven between the four original building spaces, our team topped the existing concrete slabs to achieve an even surface. Additionally, 10’x10’ structural openings were created in the structural, load-bearing walls between the original buildings, allowing the entire space to be opened up into one facility.
The Midland Building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and Ross Group coordinated closely with SHPO throughout this project to ensure all guidelines and requirements were met.
